Welcome to LakeVolt. By placing a deposit or submitting a reservation on this website, you expressly agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Deposit & Reservation Policy
To reserve a LakeVolt Electric Mini Jet Boat, you are required to pay a reservation deposit (the "Deposit"). This Deposit acts as a reservation slot to secure your priority delivery alignment.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund Eligibility: The Deposit is fully refundable ONLY prior to the official issuance of your Order Confirmation email.
Immediate Order Confirmation: Please be advised that our system may automatically process and issue an "Order Confirmation" immediately or shortly after your payment is successfully received.
No Refunds Post-Confirmation: Once the Order Confirmation has been sent to your provided email address, the Deposit becomes 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. At this point, your order is officially locked into our production, allocation, and logistics pipeline. No cancellations, chargebacks, or refund requests will be accepted for any reason thereafter.
3. Shipping & Delivery Estimates
All delivery timelines provided on this website are estimates only. While we offer free delivery within the Greater Vancouver area, we are not liable for any delays in shipping, supply chain disruptions, or logistics issues. Delays in delivery do not entitle the buyer to a refund of a confirmed order.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LakeVolt shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the product, use of this website or the reservation of products.
5. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
6. Legal Compliance, Licensing, and Registration
Buyer's Sole Responsibility: LakeVolt (the "Company") acts solely as an intermediary distributor of the product. It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the buyer to research, understand, and comply with all federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and bylaws regarding the operation of electric vessels in Canada.
Licensing & Permits: The buyer is entirely responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, registrations (including but not limited to Transport Canada's Pleasure Craft Licence), and hull markings required to legally operate the vessel in their jurisdiction.
No Liability for Non-Compliance: The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the legal status, compliance, or road/water readiness of the product under Canadian maritime laws. The Company shall not be held liable for any fines, impoundments, legal penalties, or regulatory actions resulting from the buyer's failure to properly register or operate the vessel legally.
7. Assumption of Risk and Indemnification (Personal Safety)
Adult Use Only: This product is designed and intended strictly for recreational use by adults (aged 18 and older). It is not a toy.
Mandatory Safety Equipment: Operators and passengers are strictly required to wear a Canadian Coast Guard-approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD / Life Vest) at all times while on or near the vessel.
Designated Operational Limits: This product is recommended for use ONLY in small, calm lakes and strictly in close proximity to the shoreline. It is not designed for rough waters, open oceans, fast-flowing rivers, or severe weather conditions. Any deviation from these operational guidelines is at the user's own extreme peril.
Total Release of Liability: By purchasing and using this product, the buyer expressly assumes all inherent risks associated with water sports and motorized vessel operation, including property damage, personal injury, or death. The Company, its owners, and affiliates shall have ZERO liability for any accidents, injuries, drownings, or mishaps resulting from the use or misuse of the product. The buyer agrees to fully indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any third-party claims.
8. Intermediary Status and Warranty Limitation
Intermediary Disclaimer: The buyer acknowledges that the Company operates as an intermediary distributor and does not manufacture the components.
No Liability for Post-Purchase Defects: The Company shall not be held liable for any mechanical failures, battery malfunctions, or performance issues that arise after the product has been delivered. Any post-purchase product issues, even those occurring within the stated limited warranty period, are strictly restricted to the component replacement remedies defined in our Warranty Policy and do not entitle the buyer to refunds, financial compensation, or legal damages.
