Limited Warranty
2-Year Coverage
By purchasing or operating this product, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty.
1. Limited Warranty – 2 Years
We warrant that this LakeVolt product, including its original battery and electronic components (remote control/throttle, controller, and charger), is free from manufacturing defects, provided it is used normally and in accordance with the user manual.
- For any new product, the warranty period is two (2) years from the date of delivery.
- For any demonstration product, the warranty period is one (1) year from the date of delivery.
The warranty is non-transferable to a new owner unless explicit written notification is provided to and confirmed by LakeVolt. The remaining warranty period will not be extended under any ownership transfer.
2. Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage (e.g., hull scratches, decal peeling).
- Unauthorized repairs, disassembly, or physical modifications.
- Damage resulting from improper maintenance, inadequate storage, or neglect.
- Operating or storing the product in extreme weather/temperature conditions (freezing or high heat).
- Physical damage caused by accidents, impacts, collisions, grounding, or improper operation.
- Damage caused by the use of unapproved third-party accessories or replacement parts.
- Corrosion or any damage resulting from exposure to saltwater or inadequate freshwater rinsing.
- Structural or electrical damage caused by pressure washing / high-pressure water spray.
- Late claims submitted more than 30 days after discovering the defect.
3. Shipping Responsibility for Warranty Service
Customers are solely responsible for all shipping, freight, and transportation costs associated with warranty service. Products or components must be shipped to and from the designated service location specified by LakeVolt.
In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must:
- Arrange and pay for the shipment of the product or component to the assigned service location;
- Ensure the product is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit;
- Cover all return shipping, packaging, and handling costs once the service is complete.
LakeVolt may assist in identifying the appropriate service location but does not assume responsibility for transportation costs, shipping insurance, customs duties, or handling fees. Warranty service will be performed only once the product or component is received and inspected by LakeVolt or an authorized service representative.
4. Claim Procedure
- A valid proof of purchase (invoice, sales receipt, or order confirmation) is required to confirm the warranty period and claim eligibility.
- LakeVolt will evaluate the claim within 30 days of receiving the complete product or defective component. This timeframe may be extended if further technical inspection is required.
- If, after inspection, the issue is determined to be caused by misuse, accident, neglect, or failure to follow the user manual, the repair will not be covered under warranty. An estimated quote for repair and return shipping will be provided to the customer.
5. User Maintenance – Saltwater Use & Rinsing
No certified technical maintenance is required to keep the warranty valid. However, the user must perform basic end-of-use checks and maintenance as outlined in the user manual, including:
- Ensuring the jet pump / propeller system is free of weeds, debris, sand, or obstructions;
- Checking and ensuring that all electrical connectors and battery ports are completely clean, dry, and free of dirt or moisture before charging or connecting;
- Thoroughly rinsing the boat and propulsion system with clean freshwater after any use in saltwater;
- Rinsing using low pressure only. Do NOT use a pressure washer or high-pressure nozzle;
- Storing the boat properly in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Use in saltwater is permitted; however, corrosion or any damage resulting from exposure to saltwater or inadequate rinsing is strictly excluded from warranty coverage.
6. Battery Use and Storage
The user must strictly follow all safety and operational guidelines related to the lithium battery as described in the user manual:
- Direct Sun & Heat: Never leave the battery exposed to direct sunlight or direct heat sources for extended periods. Always disconnect and remove the battery from the boat after each session.
- Storage Temperature: Store the battery at room temperature (between 15–28°C / 59–82°F) in a dry, well-ventilated location.
- Storage Charge Level: Never store the battery fully charged or fully depleted. To preserve cell life and reduce safety risks, store the battery at approximately 30%–50% charge when not in use for an extended period.
- Damaged Battery: Never connect, charge, or operate a damaged, corroded, punctured, or unstable battery.
WARNING: Any failure or damage resulting from improper battery handling, charging, or storage will void the warranty immediately and without exception.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LakeVolt shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, incidental damages, or financial loss resulting from:
- Use of the product not in strict accordance with the user manual;
- Negligence, reckless operation, or irresponsible behavior by the user;
- Operating the product under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication;
- Unauthorized modification, tuning, or repair of the product;
- Intentional disregard of local water safety regulations and safety instructions.
The user assumes full responsibility for operating the product under any conditions. The user acknowledges and accepts that operating an electric watercraft involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, capsize, or collision. LakeVolt does not guarantee the complete absence of danger, and the user voluntarily assumes all associated risks upon operation.
